Abstract
I had the opportunity to work as a Medical Scribe between June 2023 and February 2024. While working as a Medical Scribe in the ER, I was able to greatly expand my medical knowledge as well as gain great experience in healthcare. Every shift was different from the last and I was able to observe a lot of different procedures and medical workups while helping providers more effectively and efficiently care for their patients. Throughout my time I also gained insight into what medical career path I felt most compelled to follow.
