Abstract
This review provides valuable evidence for nurse-midwives about the major role that nutrition plays in the well being of the mother-infant dyad. Nutrition affects the pregnancy, maternal outcomes, and neonatal outcomes. Education about nutrition provided by nurse-midwives can help shape women’s experiences in a positive manner, safeguarding their pregnancy, their future, and their children’s future.
