Abstract

The contributions of three early pioneers of Vietnam's first Protestant Church are examined in these articles:  They are missionaries William C. Cadman and his wife Grace Hazenberg Cadman and Pastor Le Van Thai.  The Cadmans were appointed by the Mission (the Christian and Missionary Alliance) and began work in Danang in 1915.  Le Van Thai was a pioneer evangelist in Hoi An, Hanoi and My Tho serving as national church president from 1942-1960.  President Thai was a close colleague of the Cadmans and invested funds gifted by the Cadman estate to start an orphanage in Nhatrang in 1953.
