A Walk With Carol II
Painted by David Hansen in memory of his mother Carol Hansen.

In the Fall of 2024 we celebrated the life and legacy of Carol Hansen.
Carol was a Collection Development Librarian at Bethel University for over 30 years.
Rhonda Gilbraith, Associate Director, spoke fondly of Carol's legacy:
"Carol was always an art lover. In fact she confided to me that she played a little favoritism with the Art Department, devoting an extra measure of her time and even library budget to a program that she loved and admired. Since Carol's passing, I've thought about how much it would mean to Carol and to this library to have one of David's pieces in the place where she invested so much of herself. This painting which so beautifully reflects her essence is the fulfillment of that dream."
Today, the library continues a close collaboration with the art department as an extension of Carol's Legacy.
